Geneva had composited a team .289 batting average after facing Martin Luther College, Marywood, Hilbert, Kenyon and Albright. As a team, Geneva crossed home plate 59 times this week after earning 70 hits.

Leading Genvea’s offensive was junior switch hitter Andy Santana (San Pedro de Marcoris, DR, Desert Christian) reaching a .500 batting average after appearing in all eight games. Santana started week one of the 2014-15 season batting a .500 with 12 hits, eight runs and batting in seven teammates. The first day of the season against Martin Luther College, Santana tripled, going two for two that game and five for five on the day, leading Geneva into a 2-0 overall record giving Geneva the ability to reach a 4-4 overall record at the end of the work week.

Out of the six returning pitchers in the Geneva dugout, sophomore Jeff Parker (Green Brook, NJ, Timothy Christian) proved to be ready for a stellar season pitching a 3.60 era in ten innings while only allowing five runs while striking out 12 batters. Parker finished the week with a 2-0 record for his work.
