Geneva hosts summer visit events

The World and Everything in It Pod Cast Art

During the summer months, Geneva College provides several opportunities for prospective and incoming traditional undergraduate students to visit the campus. Upcoming visit days include Summer Preview on June 12 and 15, Summer Open House July 27 and Softball Recruiting Day July 29. These days enable incoming students to get acclimated and prepare for the start of the school year, and for prospective students to learn about the college and meet with admissions, faculty, financial aid or other campus representatives.

All accepted students planning to attend Geneva in the fall are strongly encouraged to attend one of the two Summer Preview days on either Friday, June 12 or Monday, June 15. The events will be held in an open-house style format so that families may arrive and depart at their leisure. Students can meet with academic advisors, complete assessment testing and connect with future classmates. Parents will have the opportunity to attend sessions with faculty, participate in a Q&A session hosted by Student Development, learn more about the Financial Aid and Business Office procedures and connect with other parents. Students can tour residence halls, take a campus tour and have their ID picture taken.

For a full schedule for the day, visit www.geneva.edu/admissions/events/summer_open_house

Softball Recruiting Day will be held July 29. On this day, prospective student-athletes will be able to meet with coaches and other athletes to learn about playing opportunities at Geneva. They will also have the ability to learn about the sports facilities and the campus and are able to meet with admissions or financial aid. Softball Recruiting Day will begin at 9:30 a.m.

To learn about softball at Geneva email coach Van Zanic at vqzanic@geneva.edu. Details about the event are at www.geneva.edu/athletics/womens/softball/softball_recruiting_day.

Summer Open House provides a glimpse into life at Geneva College. Students and parents are invited to experience the campus firsthand as they begin to consider if Geneva is a good fit for them. The event will be held Friday, July 17 with registration beginning at 10 a.m. Students and parents will be able to tour the campus, experience a class, eat lunch, hear from students and learn about next steps and financial aid.
