Tennis earns 8-1 win over PSU Altoona during Homecoming

Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva tennis earned its way back into the win column today hosting Penn State Altoona during Geneva’s homecoming weekend. Geneva’s 8-1 win raises its overall record to 6-2.

“We really played a fantastic match today,” said head coach Mandee Craft.

“Everyone was on their game. It was fun to watch.”

All three doubles teams defeated their opponents. Second doubles team Sara Stoll (Norwalk, OH/Norwalk) and Megan Hinds (Montrose, PA/Montrose) and third doubles team Katherine Deitrick (Beaver, PA/Beaver) and Hilary Kinney (Limington, ME/Bonny Eagle) both earned 8-0 victories.

Hinds went on to have a perfect day winner her fifth singles matches 6-0, 6-0.

Geneva travels to Washington & Jefferson on Friday, October 2 for a match start at 3:30 p.m.
