Grove City, PA – Geneva volleyball’s hot streak continued at Grove City Wednesday evening in a 3-0 sweep by scores of 25-9, 25-20, and 25-15. The win increases the Golden Tornadoes’ winning streak to 14, raising their overall record to 14-1, 4-0 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.

“We played pretty clean,” said co-head coach Curt Conser. “Olivia was super effective in the swings she did get in.”

Olivia Test (Negley, OH/Heartland Christian) recorded six kills on just nine hits. Erica Hughes (North Jackson, OH/Jackson Milton) led the team’s offense with 11 kills.

Rachel Netherland (Aliquippa, PA/Central Valley) set for 22 assists in the three set win. Sydney McNulty (State College, PA/State College Area) tallied four kills, one service ace, and seven digs.

“Sydney played a really high IQ game,” said Conser. “She kept herself on the service line for big chunks of time.”

Geneva will take the rest of the week off from competition before returning to action Tuesday against Westminster at 7 p.m.

“Westminster played Bethany tough last night,” said Conser. “They always bring it against us so we are looking forward to a competitive match on Tuesday.”
