The College to Career Conference (C2C) is designed to set soon-to-be graduates apart from peers during the job-search process. The conference is on Friday, November 13 from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel in Monroeville, PA.

Topics to be covered include resume advice, internship and job search strategies, creating a professional brand, effective interviewing, and meeting employers. Additional sessions in networking and salary negotiation will be held.

C2C is highly recommended by Director of Career Development at Geneva College Joy Doyle. She says, “I encourage students to participate in this affordable and worthwhile conference.  This event will help students to be better prepared for entering the workforce.”

All registrants will have a day-long pass to the conference, from 9am to 3:30pm. It is asked that registrants agree to dress professionally. This means a business suit, dress pants, dress shirt, and a tie or blouse.

Participants must pre-register online at http://goo.gl/forms/DE2wKKLM6h. The registration deadline is November 9, or until all spots are filled. There is a limited space of only 150 registrants, and 46 colleges and universities were invited to participate, so those who are interested should register as soon as possible.

Registrants who are unable to attend should contact Tammy Manko at careerdevelopment@iup.edu so that the spot may be offered to another student.

C2C’s policy is for attendees to dress professionally, arrive on time, participate in the day-long conference and complete a survey at the conclusion of the conference.
