In today’s top news, blood continues to be shed in Israel as eight Israelites and 24 Palestinians have died in two weeks of uninterrupted violence. The violence seems to stem from increasing Jewish visitation at the Al Aqsa mosque, the third most sacred place in the Islam faith. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has considered the sealing of several Palestinian Neighborhoods from the rest of Jerusalem in order to contain the violence.

Planned Parenthood will no longer accept payments from research facilities for fetal tissues. The organization persists that it is entirely nonprofit. The move is in response to a scandal that saw Planned Parenthood officials bartering over the price of fetal body parts.

In other news, Malaysian airline 17 was confirmed to have been blown out of the sky over the Ukraine by a Russian missile. The explosive was launched by pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine. Officials are taking criticisms about the fact that they knew about the dangers and previous attacks but declined shut down dangerous airspace.

The Supreme Court heard a plea from a Louisiana man who was sentenced to life in prison at the age of 17 over 50 years ago. In that time, life sentences given towards minors have been deemed cruel and unusual punishment, causing several states to look over old cases and set old prisoners free. Louisiana is not among these states. If the court pardons the man, it will set a precedence for all states to reevaluate previous sentences.

In the White House Wednesday portion of the show, WORLD reports on Tuesday’s first Democratic debate. Clinton was attacked again about her email scandal as several candidates indirectly questioned her ethics. However, Clinton owned up to the scandal and attacks died off. Hot topics on the night were the Benghazi investigations, the U.S. military in Libya, Bernie Sander’s defense on socialist economic policy and Gun control.

WORLD reports on Adriaan Vlok, a former South African cabinet member during the era of apartheid policy in the country. Vlok was the minister of law and order from 1986-91 and oversaw efforts to put down resistance to apartheid. He has since become a born again Christian who has publicly come forward about his crimes and turned his attention toward serving poor, black communities. He is the only cabinet member to have admitted to his wrongdoings.
