CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY - Geneva opened its game at undefeated and 11th-ranked Thomas More well, scoring first on a Javid Ellis (Port St. Lucie, FL/Saint Lucie West Centennial) run. The Golden Tornadoes still led until there were just four seconds left in the first half, but the second half was all Thomas More as the Saints marched on with the 44-14 win.

Thomas More, now 6-0 and 4-0 in Presidents’ Athletic Conference play, reeled off 44 unanswered points by accumulating 561 total yards – 247 passing and 314 rushing. Brenan Kuntz led the Saints, passing for the 247 yards and rushing for 108. It was his 69-yard scoring run 4:49 into the second half that set the stage for Thomas More’s second half. C.J. Tarrant ran for 172 yards yards and two TDs to complement Kuntz.

Geneva, now 2-3 and 1-2, was led by Ellis, who also scored the last touchdown. The freshman rushed for a team-high 77 yards and passed for 46, completing four of seven passes. Starting quarterback, sophomore Aaron Channing (Horsham, PA.Hatboro-Horsham) passed for 169 yards, completing 21 of 32 passes.

Defensively, Geneva was led by junior Jimmy Quinlan (Brookfield, OH/Brookfield) with nine tackled, two for loss.

Geneva returns home to Reeves Field next week to face Case Western Reserve at 7:00 p.m.
