Latrobe, PA - Geneva Men’s Cross Country had a strong showing at the President’s Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship meet at St. Vincent College finishing fourth overall on Saturday morning.

“We knew today was going to be a battle at the top, and our guys responded really well,” said head coach Brian Yowler “They raced hard to finish 4th overall as a team.”

Freshmen Josh Duffie (Canton, OH/Glenoak) had an excellent meet finishing fourth with a time of 27:19. Sophomore Clay Smith (Williamsport, MD/Williamsport) also ran well with a 13th place finish with a time of 28:06. Freshman Andrew Domencic (Pittsburgh, PA/Mifflinburg) finished 20th with a time of 28:30.

Duffie’s finish makes him a 1st team All-PAC selection, which also makes him the second highest placer in Geneva College male runner team history. Smith’s finish makes him a 2nd team All-PAC selection. Domencic received All-PAC Honorable Mention for his finish in today’s meet.

“Josh is a joy to watch race, because he doesn’t race like a freshman. He is patient early in the race and pushed himself beyond the pain late in the race. He inspires me and the rest of the team,” said coach Yowler.
