GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) is gearing up for its 2015 Cross Country Championships, which will take place Saturday, October 31 at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa.

The league championship will be the 58th annual event for the men, while the women will be competing in the conference's 32nd annual championship race.

The women's six-kilometer (6K) race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., followed by the men's eight-kilometer (8K) race at 12 p.m. A brief awards ceremony will take place on-site at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Saint Vincent, winners of the last five PAC men's team titles, placed five of its runners in the top 10 and totaled 31 points at last year's league championship. Current Saint Vincent junior Brandon Moretton (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) earned the event's individual title and 2014 PAC Men's Cross Country MVP honors after posting a winning time of 26:40.40. Moretton finished 12th (27:05.70) at the 2013 conference championship.

Saint Vincent collected eight first-place votes and 98 total points to headline the 2015 PAC Men's Cross Country Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Grove City College finished second at the 2014 PAC Men's Championship with 40 points, followed by Waynesburg University in third (85), Thiel College in fourth (140), Thomas More College in fifth (149), Westminster College in sixth (154), Geneva College in seventh (175) and host Bethany College in eighth (211). Washington & Jefferson College competed in the event as individuals only.

Grove City, winners of the last 26-straight PAC women's titles, finished with five runners in the top 12 and totaled 29 points at last year's conference championship. Current Grove City senior Emily Rabenold (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) earned the event's individual title and 2014 PAC Women's Cross Country MVP honors after posting a winning time of 22:38.40. Rabenold also claimed the individual PAC title in 2013 (21:45.60).

Grove City was picked as the unanimous preseason favorite according to the 2015 PAC Women's Cross Country Preseason Coaches' Poll, securing all 10 first-place votes and 100 points.

Waynesburg finished second at the 2014 PAC Women's Championship with 37 points, followed by Saint Vincent in third (134), Thiel in fourth (136), Geneva in fifth (137), Westminster in sixth (152), Thomas More in seventh (170), Bethany in eighth (173), Chatham University in ninth (268) and W&J in 10th (272).

The top seven finishers in both the men's and women's championship races will receive All-PAC first team recognition, while runners placing eighth through 14th earn All-PAC second team honors. Runners finishing 15th through 21st will receive honorable mention recognition.

All 10 PAC programs are scheduled to participate in the 2015 NCAA® Cross Country Mideast Regional Championships on Saturday, November 15. The Mideast Regional, being hosted by Dickinson College, is being held at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa. The women's 6K is scheduled for 11 a.m., while the men's 8K will get underway at 12:30 p.m.

The 2015 NCAA® Championships, scheduled for Saturday, November 21, are being hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at Lake Breeze Golf Club Cross Country Course in Winneconne, Wis. The women's 6K is scheduled for 11 a.m., while the men's 8K will get underway at 12:30 p.m.
