Tennis Raises Record to 7-3 in 8-1 Win Over Bethany

Beaver Falls, PA – The women’s tennis Golden Tornadoes raised their overall record to 7-3, 4-3 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference in a 8-1 win over Bethany College Thursday afternoon.

“This was a solid win for us,” said head coach Mandee Craft.

“With the PAC Tournament approaching we picked up some key wins toward seeding. Samm Jensen and Megan Sweyer picked up wins on senior their senior day.”

Samantha Jensen (Muskegon, MI/Mona Shores) picked up a fourth singles win in a final score of 6-0, 6-3. She and doubles partner Elizabeth Stewart (Rochester, PA/Rochester) defeated Bison opponents 8-1.

Megan Sweyer (Pulaski, PA/Wilmington) earned a 6-1, 6-1 win in sixth singles.

The Golden Tornadoes are set to host LaRoche College Saturday, October 10 at 1 p.m.
