Bethany, WV The Bethany Bison upset Geneva in West Virginia Thursday evening in a 3-1 final (25-15, 10-25, 19-25, 18-25). The four set loss lowers Geneva’s overall record to 25-7, 14-3 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).

The win raises the Bison’s overall record to 26-8 overall, 15-3 in the PAC.

Both Geneva and Bethany sit in the conference standings behind Thomas More with an overall record 21-4, 17-0 in the league.

“The key word is inconsistent,” said co-head coach Curt Conser.

“Other than a couple strong servers we failed to execute well in every aspect of the game.”

“We need to move forward.”

Statistical leaders tonight included Olivia Test (Negley, OH/Heartland Christian) tallied seven kills, Marissa Naples (Cortland, OH/Lakeview) and Erica Hughes (North Jackson, OH/Jackson Milton) each with six kills.

Rachel Netherland (Aliquippa, PA/Central Valley) set for 12 assists and 12 digs while Gabrielle Dickson (Brookfield, OH/Kennedy Catholic) collected 13 digs.

As a team, the Golden Tornadoes earned eight blocks.

Saturday, October 31 Geneva will close out the 2015 regular season against Saint Vincent at home starting at 5 p.m. Before the match Geneva will celebrate its’ senior Rachel Netherland.
