Beaver Falls, PA - The Geneva College women’s Soccer program had an exciting 1-0 double overtime win against conference rival St. Vincent Bearcats on Saturday morning. This finish brings the Golden Tornadoes to 9-7 overall and 5-4 in the President’s Athletic Conference (PAC) to place fifth overall in the PAC.

Saturday was also senior day for the Golden Tornadoes as they celebrated the careers of three seniors: Hannah Beckhusen (Baldwinsville, NY/Faith Heritage), Heidi Mann (Colorado Springs, CO/Faith Heritage), and Anna McMullen (Uniontown, OH/Lake Center Christian).

After over 108 minutes of scoreless play, Mann scored the lone goal off a penalty kick.

Geneva out shot their opponents 35-11 in the match.

The shutout victory was achieved by the strong performance of McMullen in goal with five saves and Beckhusen as center back on the defensive line.

“It was an exciting match and good season,” said head coach Linda Sumner. “I’m proud of our players and especially seniors. Hannah, Heidi, and Anna will be greatly missed and we are thankful for all they have given to our program!”
