Switch to E-Billing Postponed

Geneva College is postponing the implementation of electronic billing through Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS). Due to unforeseen obstacles that arose during the testing phase, the college is not moving to NBS in November as originally planned.

For the upcoming spring semester, all Geneva traditional, adult and graduate students will receive a paper bill in December as in previous years.

“We made this decision in order to provide students the best possible service in handling their accounts,” said Stephen Ross, Associate Vice President of Finance & Controller. “In an effort to ensure that we offer an e-billing provider that meets our high expectations and is able to serve student’s needs, we have decided to take more time in finding a solution with this vendor while continuing to explore other available options.”

Ross added that he anticipates a change in vendors to be made at some point in 2016.

Despite the delay, monthly payment plans are still available for the spring semester for traditional undergraduate students. Offered through current billing provider Higher One, the payment plans are as follows:

  • Five-Month Plan—Payments are made from November 2015 through March 2016
  • Four-Month Plan—Payments are made from December 2015 through March 2016
  • Three-Month Plan—Payments are made from January 2016 through March 2016
