Geneva College moved up two spots—from sixth to fourth—on Christian Universities Online’s 2016 ranking of the 50 Most Beautiful Christian Colleges and Universities.
Rankings for the list are established by including only schools that are members or eligible to be members of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU). Schools are then scored in four areas: continuity of campus, architectural style, signature buildings and natural setting.
“Known for its impressive, Ivy League-style architecture, Geneva College sits on a rural, wooded campus” and “has over 100 years of history hidden in its walls, as many of its buildings were built over 130 years ago,” writes Anna Rebekah Orr, associate editor for the ranking
She adds, “At Christian Universities Online, we understand that students make their choice of school based on a multitude of factors. The natural surroundings, layout and beauty of the campus have considerable weight in this decision. With this understanding, we are pleased to offer up this ranking that focuses purely on location and aesthetics rather than the facts or figures normally used to evaluate schools.”
The organization also recognizes Geneva in its 2016 Top 50 Best Value Christian Colleges and Universities and Top 50 Christian Colleges and Universities Exceeding Expectations lists.
