Bethany, WV – The Bethany Bison men defeated Geneva 86-60, giving the Golden Tornadoes a 0-7 overall record, 0-3 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.

“We came out strong early and then we made some mistakes,” said head coach Jeff Santarsiero.

“They got back in the game a little bit after two turnovers, which left us behind by eight. We got into foul trouble as well.

“We shot terribly from the three and when you do that against such a great team like Bethany you can’t recover.”

Junior Chaese Vaudrin (Uniontown, OH/Lake) tallied 18 points to lead Geneva’s offense. Freshman Matt Dragan (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe) also reached double digits in scoring with 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Sophomore Jimmy Leichliter (Connellsville, PA/ Connellsville) contributed nine points, seven rebounds.

Tuesday, December 15 the Golden Tornadoes will play on the road against NCAA Division I Youngstown State University, coached by former Geneva coach Jerry Slocum. The game will start at 7 p.m.
