Thousand Oaks, CA – Ethan Adamczyk (Uniontown, OH/ Lake/Lake Erie) had a stellar day with 27 points against Cal Lutheran. Despite Adamczyk’s season-high, though, the Golden Tornadoes fell short in day one of the Thrivent Financial Tournament against the hosts, 86-66.
With the score 40-37 in the host’s favor at the half, Cal Lutheran extended its lead early in the second with a 16-point run. Geneva was unable to recover.
“We again played an inconsistent game,” said head coach Jeff Santarsiero. We have to get over this inconsistency to get better.”
“On a positive note, it was good to see our alumni at the game!”
The Golden Tornadoes continue play tomorrow at 9 p.m. (11 p.m. EST) with the opponent to be determined in tonight’s 8 p.m. (11 p.m. EST) game.
