Grove City Men Upend Geneva 81-66

Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva remains in search of its first win of the season as the visiting Grove City Wolverines handed the Golden Tornadoes their eleventh loss, 81-66. Geneva now sits with an 0-11 overall record, 0-4 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).

“They out worked us, they deserved to win,” said head coach Jeff Santarsiero.

“We have to figure some things out.”

Trailing 39-26 at halftime, Geneva needed to make up some ground in the second but was able to play the Wolverines even. The Golden Tornadoes kept the second half close tallying 40 points, but Grove City answered with 42 points.

Ethan Adamczyk (Uniontown, OH/ Lake/Lake Erie) led Geneva’s offensive charge with 29 points. Joining Adamczyk in double digits was Jimmy Leichliter (Connellsville, PA/ Connellsville) (12), Chaese Vaudrin (Uniontown, OH/Lake) (11) and Jordan Lawrence (Columbia, MD/Chapelgate) with 10.

Leichliter’s matched his scoring work with a strong effort on the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double.

Wednesday, January 6 Geneva travels to Washington & Jefferson for an 8 p.m. PAC contest.
