Washington, PA – Chaese Vaudrin’s (Uniontown, OH/Lake) triple-double of 24 points, 11 rebounds and ten assists led Geneva to a 78-70 win at Washington & Jefferson Wednesday night. The win stopped Geneva’s 11-game winless streak to start the season as the Golden Tornadoes improved to 1-11 overall, 1-4 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).
“We played the way we needed to play,” said head coach Jeff Santarsiero.
“Chaese had an awesome game and Ethan and Jimmy contributed as well. It was a great team win.”
Jimmy Leichliter (Connellsville, PA/ Connellsville) earned a double-double with 13 points and 18 rebounds while Ethan Adamczyk (Uniontown, OH/ Lake) racked up 20 points.
Also reaching double digits in scoring was Jordan Lawrence (Columbia, MD/Chapelgate) with 11 points.
Saturday, January 9 Geneva return to the road this time at Chatham for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
