Fourth quarter at W&J doesn’t provide comeback; Geneva women fall 76-63

Geneva

WASHINGTON, PA – Down just two points entering the fourth quarter, Geneva wasn’t able to close the gap against Washington & Jefferson, falling 76-63. The loss drops Geneva’s overall record to 6-6, 3-2 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).

“We were tough, we came back from a ten point deficit in the second; entering the fourth down 50-48,” said head coach Lori Wynn.

“We have to clear up some turnovers and execute better. We’ve got to be disciplined to do the little things well.”

Heidi Mann (Colorado Springs, CO/Evangelical Christian Academy) recorded another double-double in her stellar career, scoring 17 points and gathering 12 rebounds against the Presidents.

Marissa Heaney (New Castle PA/Union) was on fire with four from beyond the arc, finishing with 12 points and four rebounds. Freshman Jodie Carlson (Warsaw, IN/Warsaw) also had a strong game, scoring 16 points and adding six rebounds.
