Geneva College presents the first spring semester Geneva Reading Series (GRS) event, “Undiscovered Country,” on Wednesday, February 24, from 7-9 p.m. in the West Reading Room of McCartney Library.

“Undiscovered Country” features English professor Dr. Daniel Williams, head football coach Geno DeMarco, engineering professor Dr. James Gidley and senior communication major Jacob Kremm.

Dr. Williams says, “Undiscovered Country is all about battling for warmth in a frozen world. Coach DeMarco will be there to help us. You’ve seen him tear apart the competition on the gridiron. Now come witnesses the word-war he will wage against our shut-up hearts in this dead time of the year.”

Geneva Reading Series events are well attended by Geneva students, faculty, and members of the College Hill and Beaver Falls communities.

Homemade goodies refreshments will be provided by Beaver Falls Coffee and Tea Company.

Dr. Williams invites all who would like to present their own works or read the works of others at future events to contact him at dpwillia@geneva.edu.

Dr. Williams started the Geneva Reading Series in 2013 as a means of joining the Geneva community with the art of prose, poetry and creative writing, while also incorporating the written works of scholars both within and outside the Geneva community. Dr. Williams seeks to use the written works of students, faculty and staff to bring attention to the glory of God through human ability.
