Women Track & Field Shatters Records at Alliance

Geneva track

Alliance, OH – The Geneva women’s track and field team had excellent performances at the Jim Wuske Invitational hosted at Mount Union on Saturday, February 6, setting two Geneva records.

Sophomore standout Nicole Bartoletta (Monaca, PA / Central Valley) finished seventh in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.41 seconds. This time beat her old time, set a new school record, and also qualified her for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) post-season indoor season meet.

“This has been a great week for us,” said head coach Phil Thompson. “We continue to perform at a high level.”

Sophomore Jess Kelosky (Fombell, PA / Riverside) finished third in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.06 seconds, which also set the school record she set last year.

Sophomore long jumper Kailee Loose (Beaver, PA / Beaver) finished seventh at 4.79 meters (15-feet-9 inches).

“I can't wait to see what this team will accomplish,” said Thompson.

The Geneva women’s track and field team will return to competition on Saturday, February 13 in the Tiffin Dragon Invite at Tiffin University.
