Eggstravaganza Brings Local Children to Campus

Eggstravaganza

Geneva College will host Eggstravaganza on Thursday, March 17, 2016 to celebrate our risen Savior. The Tiger Pause ministry of Beaver Falls will bring local children to campus from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for food, games and a reading of the Easter story.

This event is made possible through the collaboration of Geneva’s Center for Student Engagement and Tiger Pause. Geneva students help run the event, and members of the Geneva community provide candy for an Easter egg hunt.

Torre Fahrny-Klaphake, a first-year student helping to organize event, says, "This is a much anticipated event for the Tiger Pause kids. It is rewarding when Geneva can share our passion with the community.  The CSE is filled with a great group of people who truly care about making this special and enlightening for the kids."

Around 100 children are expected to attend Eggstravaganza.  Geneva’s faculty and staff can donate bags of individually wrapped candy by dropping them off in collection boxes located in all classroom buildings and in Skye Lounge of the Student Center by Tuesday, March 15. They may also contact Fahrny-Klaphake at txfahrny@geneva.edu or 412-759-7678 to arrange a pick-up.

Tiger Pause is a Christ-centered community-based organization. It serves Beaver County’s young people and their families to provide opportunities for children to participate in quality programs and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
