Symphonic Band to Present Spring Concert

The Geneva College Symphonic Band will perform its annual spring concert on Saturday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse.

The repertoire will feature traditional and contemporary works. The 72-member symphonic band will perform pieces such as “Star Wars Medley,” “White River Revival,” “Be Thou My Vision,” “Bright Lights,” “Resplendent Glory” and others.

The newly formed Geneva College Trombone Choir will also present several selections.

The Geneva College bands are under the direction of Professor Donald Kephart.  The marching band performs at football games during the fall semester. The spring semester features concerts by the symphonic band and jazz band. Other instrumental ensembles perform at various times throughout the academic year, as well.
