Geneva Implements Enhanced Student Account Services

Nelnet

Geneva College is partnering with student-account vendor Nelnet Business Solutions to provide enhanced student account services for its traditional, adult and graduate students and their families. Nelnet’s state-of-the-art platform provides services such as e-billing, online credit card and ACH payments, student choice refunds, and account balance and activity information in one easy-to-use online location.

Electronic billing is an important feature of the Nelnet implementation that affects all students. Geneva billing will be electronic only, beginning in July of 2016. In addition to providing timely billing information to students and families, e-billing aligns with the college’s commitment to financial and environmental stewardship by eliminating the cost and waste of paper mailing.

Nelnet also offers the convenience of third-party payments. Students who want to allow a third-party to make payments on their accounts can grant authorized party access. Those who choose to approve parents or others to make payments on their accounts are able to do so online.

Traditional undergraduate students also have the ability to select payment plans through Nelnet. Those who take advantage of Geneva’s payment plans are now able to sign up for their plan of choice. The first payment for those who opt for a five-month payment plan is due May 15, 2016. Payment plans are not available for graduate, Adult Degree Programs or CUBM students.

More information about Nelnet, instructions about using its services, and answers to frequently asked questions, are available at www.geneva.edu/nelnet.

For additional assistance, Geneva’s Student Accounts Office may be contacted at 724-847-6115, 724-847-6543, 724-847-6875 or student-accounts@geneva.edu.

Nelnet Business Solutions works with colleges and universities to provide a robust suite of services including electronic billing and payment, actively managed payment plans and an innovative student choice refunds service. These services are used by more than 750 higher education campuses.

Geneva College invites students to step forward with an academically excellent, Christ-centered and affordable education. Offering more than 40 majors, Adult Degree Programs with fully online and campus-based options, and high-demand advanced graduate degrees, Geneva's programs are recognized for their high quality. U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks Geneva as a Top 10 Best Value with one of the Top 100 engineering programs in the nation. Adhering to the inerrancy of Scripture, a Geneva education is grounded in Reformed Christian faith, as well as in a core curriculum designed to prepare students vocationally to think, write and communicate well in today’s world.
