Second Reading Series Event on Wednesday, April 20

Reading Series

Geneva College presents the second Geneva Reading Series event of the spring semester, “Moxie,” on Wednesday, April 20 from 7-9 p.m. in the West Reading Room of McCartney Library.

“Moxie” features English professor Dr. Daniel Williams, Bible professor Dr. Byron Curtis, English professor Dr. Megan Morton, senior student ministry major Ethan Mathews, and senior engineering major Peter Perkins.

Dr. Williams says, “’Moxie’ is about the force of character, determination or nerve. It’s all about sand, the right stuff and guts. This time around, we’re wearing our literature on our chins and begging you all to take your best shot. The theme is toughness in the face of wars and rumors of wars and all the rest. We will not be afraid.”

In 2013, Dr. Williams established the Geneva Reading Series with the goal of promoting written prose, poetry, short stories and other readings that follow a consistent theme. He invites all who have the desire to present their own works or to read the works of others to participate in the Geneva Reading Series during the 2016-17 academic year.

Homemade treats and coffee are provided by Beaver Falls Coffee and Tea Company.

The Geneva Reading Series events are free and open to the public.
