Bethany, WV – On Friday and Saturday April 29-30, the Geneva women’s track and field team competed in the President’s Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship meet at Bethany College. The Golden Tornadoes finished fourth overall in the meet and had strong finishes in individual events.

“This was a special season for this team,” said head coach Phil Thompson. “They have trained so much in the off-season and it really paid off. I am very proud of their accomplishments and can't wait to see what the future holds.”

Jess Kelosky (Fombell, PA / Riverside) set Geneva record, finishing second in  the 100 meters at 12.49 seconds. In addition, she placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 25.83 seconds.

The 400 relay team also set a Geneva record, finishing first with a time of 48.85 seconds. The team consisted of Bartoletta, Sarah Klien (Columbus, IN / Columbus East), Kaylee Loose (Beaver, PA / Beaver), and Kelosky.

Two jumpers placed third - Loose, who was on the relay team had a distance of 5.11 meters (16 feet-9 inches) in the long jump. Morgan Peaco (Zelienople, PA / Seneca Valley) achieved a height of 1.47 meters (4-10) in the high jump.

“Sarah Foy had a great final PAC Meet,” said Thompson. “She has made a huge impact for this program and I am very thankful I was able to coach her.”
