Three GTs Earn All-Conference Honors

Beaver Falls, PA – Sophomore Joey Luciana (Oakmont, PA/St. Joseph), senior J.C. Ackerman (Lewis Center, OH/Worthington Christian) and senior Andy Santana (San Pedro de Marcoris, DR/Desert Christian) represented the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes as the 2016 Presidents’ Athletic Conference All-Conference Teams were announced.

J.C. Ackerman (Lewis Center, OH/Worthington Christian) capped his baseball career with second all-conference honors. Ackerman’s .397 season batting average includes 48 hits with three doubles, 15 RBIs and 24 runs. 

Luciana was also honored as a second team all-conference selection.  The outfielder finished the season with a .376 batting average, accumulating 50 hits including 10 doubles, five triples and two home runs. He had 32 RBIs, 18 stolen bases and 29 runs.

Santana’s 2016 Honorable Mention is his third time all-conference achievement. He finished his senior campaign batting .254 with 30 hits, five doubles, two home runs, 17 RBIs, eight stolen bases and scoring 27 runs.
