Beaver Falls, PA – Under the direction of eighth year head coach Brian Yowler, the Geneva Women’s Cross Country team was voted to finish third by the 2016 Presidents’ Athletic Conference Preseason Poll. The Golden Tornadoes earned a first place vote in the poll after finishing third in 2015.
Junior Madelyn Blosser (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley), sophomore Hannah Mansell (Reading, Pa. / Governor Mifflin) and senior Rebecca Miller (Spring Grove, Pa. / Spring Grove) all return tabbed as ‘players to watch’ by the PAC.
Miller (25:38), Blosser (26:28) and Mansell (26:42) all earned Geneva points in the 2015 PAC Championship (6K) leading the team to a third place finish.
The Golden Tornadoes open the 2016 competing at the Fisher Invitation hosted by Westminster College on Friday, September 2 at 6:30 p.m.
