Beaver Falls, PA – Led by two sophomores, the Geneva College women’s soccer team offensive overcame Carlow University on Wednesday, September 14 at home. After 90 minutes of play, Geneva won the match with 6-3 to improve its overall record to 3-1.

For the fourth consecutive game, sophomore forward Becca Ceffaratti (West Chester, PA/Bayard Rustin) opened scoring for the Golden Tornadoes in the second minute of the game off a cross from sophomore Megan Schoeneweis (Moon, PA/Moon). Schoenewies scored her own unassisted goal in the sixth minute. Ceffaratti scored two more goals in the first half to get her first hat trick of the season. Schoenewies scored her second goal of the night off an assist from Laiton Suders (Chambersburg, PA/Cumberland Valley Christian).

Carlow scored two goals late in the first half to bring the score to 5-2 for the half.
