Tough Homecoming Loss for Women’s Soccer

Beaver Falls, PA – The Geneva women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to visiting Heidelberg College. The loss drops the home team to 3-4 overall before they begin conference play next week.

Heidelberg scored early in the second and the eleventh minute of the game to give the student princes a 2-0 lead going into the half.

The golden tornadoes Becca Ceffaratti (West Chester, PA/Bayard Rustin) scored her seventh goal of the season in the second half to bring the game close, but the team could not find the back of the net again. 

The non-conference play has come to a close with the loss. They start Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) play next week, Friday September 30th. Geneva travels to Grove City College for a 4 p.m. match start time.
