Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva’s Women’s Volleyball team played Thiel College in the closing match of regular season play with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-22, 25-12). The Golden Tornadoes finished their regular season with a record of 21-11, 15-3 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC). The night highlighted the efforts of the team’s seven graduating seniors. This senior class has earned the rights to be in the top five winningest graduating classes in the program’s history.
Senior Olivia Test (Negley, OH/Heartland Christian) led the offense with 10 kills, earning a .251 hitting percentage for the game.
Senior Grace Hayes (Westminster, MD/Westminster) had a solid game offensively, tallying five kills and four blocks.
Senior Gabrielle Dickson (Brookfield, OH/Kennedy Catholic) shone defensively with 14 digs, two blocks, and four kills. Dickson’s 1834 career digs give her the record for the third most digs in Geneva College history.
Other highlights on defense include seniors Alexis Ritson (Irwin, PA/Hempfield) and Abby Wenger (Lititz, PA/Warwick), both with 14 digs and two service aces, McKala King (Uniontown, OH/Lake) with nine digs, and Carolyn Kaufer (Albion, PA/Northwestern) with six digs.
Geneva is set to host Grove City on Tuesday, November 1 at 6:30 p.m. for the PAC Championship quarterfinals.
