Conference Triumph Lifts Geneva’s PAC Record to 11-1

Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva’s 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-21) win over Washington & Jefferson raises the Golden Tornadoes overall record to 17-6, 11-1 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC). Geneva currently holds the number one seed in the league with only six more conference matches remaining in the 2016 regular season.

Grace Hayes (Westminster, MD/Westminster) posted a .333 hitting percentage in her 33 swings earning 11 kills while committing no errors.

Olivia Test (Negley, OH/Heartland Christian) recorded 12 kills reaching a .478 hitting percentage committing only one error.

Marissa Naples (Cortland, OH/Lakeview) also tallied double digit kills with 11.

Alaina Lytle (Warren, OH/Lakeview) took on the full-time setting role ending the night with 38 assists.

Gabrielle Dickson (Brookfield, OH/Kennedy Catholic) led Geneva’s defense with 23 digs supported by Abby Wenger (Lititz, PA/Warwick) with 14 and McKala King (Uniontown, OH/Lake) with 13.

As a team, the Golden Tornadoes protected the net with seven team blocks.

On Saturday, October 15 at 11 a.m. the Golden Tornadoes continue conference play at Westminster College.
