New Face Finds Hat Trick at Bethany, Women’s Soccer Posts Conference Win 3-0

Bethany, WV – Justice Newland earned time on the soccer pitch and netted three goals for the Geneva women’s soccer Golden Tornadoes Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 19). Her hat-trick handed Geneva its first conference win with a 3-0 decision over the Bethany Bison. The road win moves the Golden Tornadoes overall record to 4-9, 1-6 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). 

Justice Newland (Lebanon, OH/Lebanon) first breached the Bison defensive line in the 39th minute of the game from an unassisted ball in the corner of the goal box. 

In the second half, Newland scored in the 71st  and 85th minutes off assists from sophomore defender Sydney Kern (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill ) and freshman midfielder Bailey Milroy (Colorado Springs, CO/TCA College Pathways). 

Freshman goalkeeper Dani Lincoln earned the shut out with four saves.

Geneva will end their home season on Saturday, October 22 at 4 p.m. as they host the Thomas More Saints.
