“The Real Inspector Hound” is a short, one-act play by Tom Stoppard. The plot follows two theater critics named Moon and Birdboot who are watching an insane setup of a country house murder in a whodunit style mystery. They become involved in the action causing a chain of events to take place that match the play they are watching. The Geneva production stars a talented and hard-working cast, and is one that is memorable long after the last curtain call.

The cast includes:

  • Jacob Hockenbrocht (Moon)
  • Ben Kennedy (Birdboot)
  • Tyler Piper (Simon Gascoyne)
  • Kenneth Nace (Major Magnus Muldoon)
  • Nathan Moelker (Inspector Hound)
  • Danielle Rendulic (Felicity Cunningham)
  • Alison Kolber (Lady Cynthia Muldoon)
  • Regan Scott (Mrs. Drudge)

“The Real Inspector Hound” is a parody in the absurdist tradition of Stoppard’s Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead.
