Beaver Falls, PA – On Saturday, February 4 the Geneva College men’s indoor track & field team showcased standout performances at Mount Union’s Jim Wuske Invitational. Once again, the Golden Tornadoes shook up the school’s record book, setting new and improved records and times on the track and in the field.

“The men had a very strong meet at Mount Union,” said head coach Phil Thompson. “Cam ran great in the open 60 and finished third overall. Ray had an awesome day in the vault and broke the school record with a vault of 4 meters.

“It was a long meet, so to have some great performances like we did, shows we have a very strong team.”

Freshman Raymond Hagg’s (West Sunbury, PA/Moniteau Senior High School) pole vault height of 4.0 meters (13-01.25) reset Geneva’s indoor record at Mount Union. The vault broke Jake LaGorga’s record from the 2016 season at 3.95 meters.

Senior Cameron Unrath (Wexford, PA/Pine Richland) placed third in the men’s 60 meter dash with an outstanding 7.14 seconds.

Senior hurdler Michael Savino (Altoona, PA/Altoona Area) placed fifth in the 60 men’s high hurdles finishing in 8.87 seconds.

Up next, the Golden Tornadoes will travel to Ohio to compete in the Tiffin Dragan Invite on Saturday, February 11.
