Grove City Defeats Geneva Women’s Basketball 80-49

Beaver Falls, Pa. – The Grove City College Wolverines handed the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes an 80-49 loss in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) women’s basketball contest on Wednesday, February 8. The loss moves Geneva’s overall record to 4-18, 1-14 in the PAC.

Callie Ford (New Middletown, OH/Springfield Local) was the only Golden Tornado to manage double figures in scoring. Ford tallied 14 points while also leading Geneva’s rebounding with six.

Lydia Songer (Wexford PA/Pine Richland) recorded eight points while Miranda Heaney (New Castle PA/Union) and Jodie Carlson (Warsaw, IN/Warsaw) were held to seven. Heaney and Carlson each contributed five rebounds.

Geneva’s play will remain on the road, visiting the Chatham University Cougars on Saturday, February 11 beginning at 1 p.m.
