BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – For the second year in a row, students from The Genevans choir will present an evening of exciting and nostalgic tunes in their Oldies Night performance. All are invited to come and enjoy the show, which will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse.

The Genevans’ Oldies Night fundraising concert will help the choir fund next year’s 80th anniversary tour to Europe. The popularity of last year’s “Oldies” performances inspired Genevans Fundraising Coordinator Ben Kennedy, a junior Communication major, and Thomas Acosta, a senior Engineering major, to plan a larger one-night event for Oldies Night 2017. Working with choir leadership, Kennedy developed a tiered approach to donations. For $3 (students) or $7 (adults), individuals can purchase tickets for the main show at 7:30 p.m. with bleacher seating. For a larger donation of $30 ($50 for couples), donors are also invited to a special “VIP Jukebox” show at 6:30 featuring dessert and drinks. The concert’s new location in Metheny Fieldhouse will accommodate the new “dessert theater” format in addition to traditional concert seating.

Kennedy comments, "The response to our first Oldies Night performance last year was inspiring. We’re excited to present the show in a new way this year, to honor all our friends and family who support The Genevans. Choir members are putting a lot of effort into preparing these classic hits, and it shows. So come and enjoy the talents of these students performing their parents’ and grandparents’ songs—you will not be disappointed!"

Regular admission tickets may be purchased at the door. Those who wish to RSVP for the VIP Jukebox show may purchase tickets online at www.geneva.edu/genevans/oldies-night.
