PAC Tabbed Haley Sainato & Casey Farkasovsky as PAC Players of the Week

Beaver Falls, Pa. – On Monday, March 27 the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) honored Geneva softball’s Haley Sainato and Casey Farkasovsky for their tremendous work week. Sophomore Haley Sainato (New Castle, PA/Mohawk) was tabbed the league’s Hitter of the Week while freshman Casey Farkasovsky (Beaver, PA/Beaver) was named PAC Rookie of the Week.

Sainato finished Geneva’s 3-1 week hitting .846 going 11-13 with a .786 on-base percentage. She tallied three RBIs and four runs and five stolen bases. She recorded nine straight hits going 5-5 against Pitt Greensburg on Tuesday and 4-5 at the plate facing Franciscan on Thursday. Her nine straight hits broke the school’s consecutive hit record.

Farkasovsky led Geneva inside the circle posting a 3-1 record (four starts) recording a 1.31 ERA. In the batter’s box, she added five runs, collecting four more RBIs for a season count of 24; leading the PAC in RBIs.  

The Golden Tornadoes are set to host the Allegheny College Gators on Wednesday, March 29 at 3:30 & 5:30 p.m. followed by their PAC season home opener on Saturday, April 1 hosting all-time rival, the Westminster College Titans at 1 & 3 p.m.
