Men’s Track & Field Place 3rd Top PAC Finisher at Bethany

Bethany, WV – The men’s track and field team placed third at the Bethany College Invitational on Saturday, April 1. In addition, Geneva placed first among the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) teams at the invitational (Bethany, Grove City, W&J and Waynesburg).

Aaron Tedys (Beaver Falls, PA/Riverside) led the track events placing second in the 400 meter dash (50.35 seconds) and third in the 200 meter dash (22.66 seconds).

Henry Kennedy (Titusville, PA/Titusville) also placed in the 100 meter dash with a seventh place finish with a time of 11.46 seconds.

Geneva’s 4x100 meter relay team placed fourth with a time of 42.96 seconds. The team was made up by Kennedy, Cameron Unrath (Wexford, PA/Pine Richland), Tedys, and Alex Parker (Meadville, PA/Meadville).

Dalton Paxson (Rochester, PA/Rochester) tabbed a fourth place finish in the 110 High Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.63 seconds.

After helping the relay team to a stellar finish, Parker continued to find success, placing sixth in the 110 High Meter Hurdles.

In the field, Isaac Barringer (Delta, OH/Toledo Christian) topped all competition in the discus throw. Barringer recorded a stellar first place finish with a 41.37 meter throw.

Clay Joseph (Milton, GA / Alpharetta) tallied a second place finish in the triple jump with a 12.12 meter leap.

Jesse Garcia (Mechanicsville, MD/Chopticon High) recorded a third place finish in the high jump clearing 1.78 meters.

All three Geneva pole vaulters placed at Bethany. Brandon Tedrow (Elliot City, PA/Riverside) led Geneva’s pole vault squad clearing 3.85 meters for a second place finish. Brandon LaGorga (North Huntington, PA/Norwin) finished fourth clearing 3.85 meters followed by Raymond Hagg (West Sunbury, PA/Moniteau Senior High School) placed fifth also clearing 3.85 meters.

On Saturday, April 8 Geneva will continue the outdoor season at the Westminster College Invitational.
