Geneva College Set to host 2017 Beaver County Special Olympics

Beaver County Special Olympics

Beaver Falls, Pa. - Geneva College will host the 2017 Beaver County Special Olympics on Friday, April 28. The events start at 9 a.m. at Reeve’s Field and the Merriman Athletic Complex.

Geneva College hosts this event for the second year after a successful event in 2016. Geneva students and faculty are invited to volunteer in a variety of capacities throughout the event.

“The goal of the Beaver County Special Olympics aligns with the mission of Geneva College really well,” says Van Zanic, Athletic Director. “We love having people from our community on campus with us, and it gives our student-athletes, staff and faculty the opportunity to see how serious these kids are about their sport. I’m proud of our student-athletes who volunteer their time to make it a really great event for everybody.”
