Geneva Partners with Butler County Chamber of Commerce to Provide a $2,000 Scholarship for Adult Students

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Geneva College is offering $2,000 scholarships toward further education at the college to graduates of Leadership Butler County, a leadership initiative program of the Butler County Chamber of Commerce.

The scholarships can be used by individual students for a 36-credit undergraduate major in the Adult Degree Programs (ADP) or for the 36-credit MS in Leadership Studies (MSLS) graduate degree at Geneva. Scholarships are offered to all Leadership Butler County graduates who meet admission requirements for Geneva’s ADP or MSLS program.

Chief Academic Officer of Geneva College, Dr. Melinda Stephens says, “Geneva College is excited to partner with the Butler County Chamber of Commerce to offer these future leaders support needed to continue their education at our institution. At Geneva, they can fully develop as professionals and servant leaders by enhancing skills like self-discipline, strong communication and keen intellectual agility to the benefit of their organizations, communities and families.”

Graduates of Leadership Butler County, as well as other leadership programs in the future, have the opportunity to enhance their education at Geneva College through one of the nine Bachelor of Professional Studies majors offered through Geneva’s Adult Degree Programs. Seven 36-credit majors are offered fully online, including aging services, child and family services, criminal justice, organizational leadership, human resources, management and public relations. Two 36-credit majors–human services and Christian ministry leadership–are offered in the classroom on campus in Beaver Falls, PA or at a Pittsburgh location. The 36-credit MSLS graduate program is offered fully online.
