Listen to Original Songs by Students from Around the Country

BEAVER FALLS, Pa., November 14, 2017 – The Contemporary Music Center (CMC) Live Tour from Nashville will debut original works on Geneva’s campus at 7 p.m. tonight.  Step into Johnston Gym to experience a concert designed, constructed and performed entirely by students, including three Geneva students, Josiah Forton, Matthew Montgomery and Alyssa Stevens.  All songs performed have been written by the students during their semester at CMC and display the immense talent and effort that underlies this musical ensemble.

From November 12-19, the CMC tour will reach five schools – Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Geneva College, Malone University, Grove City College and Messiah College. When starting the semester, students much choose between three tracks: technology, artist and business. Through their collaborative efforts, this concert became possible, allowing the students to bless a vast array of people and showing the fruitful results of hard work, determination and teamwork.

“For the first time, very diverse students met each other, and in a matter of months, we have created original music and organized everything into one cohesive show for this tour,” says Josiah Forton, Geneva senior. “I am so excited to show all we have learned by employing our knowledge communally and to apply all of our hard work from the past couple of months in a real life context.”
