(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College welcomes Dr. Carl Trueman, the Paul Woolley Chair of Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, on Wednesday, February 21 for two free events that are open to the public.

Trueman will preach in Geneva’s chapel service at 10:10 a.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse and give a 7 p.m. lecture at College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church. His evening lecture, “Luther and Our Present Age:  Reformation and the Current Challenges to Christianity,” will be followed by a question and answer session.

Trueman has published and contributed to over a dozen books and articles, most recently co-authoring the book “Between Wittenberg and Geneva:  Lutheran and Reformed Theology in Conversation.” He writes online regularly for First Things, a publication of the Institute on Religion and Public Life. He is an ordained minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and pastor of Cornerstone OPC in Ambler, PA. He earned his Ph.D. in 1991 from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
