(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.)— On Thursday, April 5, Geneva College recognizes Tuition Freedom Day – a day marking the point in the academic year when tuition paying for students’ education runs out and support from donors takes over.

Students will write thank-you notes between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Brig, located in the Student Center, and in the lobby of Alexander Hall. Geneva will also invite the students to enjoy donut holes to remind them that generous donors supply the missing piece in their tuition, making their education possible.

The purpose of Tuition Freedom Day is to emphasis the importance of the Christian attribute of generosity and the impact of fundraising and philanthropy on Geneva College. Without external funding, tuition for most students would dramatically increase. The day’s activities remind students of the direct benefit they receive from the generosity of donors and the need to support future generations as donors themselves.

In 2016-17, donors contributed over $3 million to support the Geneva College purpose of providing Christian higher education.

Geneva College is a Christ-centered academic community that provides a comprehensive education to equip students for faithful and fruitful service to God and neighbor. Offering over 80 traditional undergraduate majors and programs, Adult Degree Programs with fully online and classroom options, and high-demand graduate degrees, Geneva's programs are recognized for their high quality.
