(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College marks 170 years of God’s faithfulness with a celebration this Friday, April 20, the date the college was founded in Northwood, Ohio in 1848.  The celebration takes place in the lobby of Alexander Dining Hall on Geneva’s campus.

Geneva invites all students, faculty and staff to drop by anytime between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. to sign a giant birthday card recognizing God’s faithfulness to Geneva, and have a piece of birthday cake.

At 12:15 p.m., there will be a ceremony to share the history and heritage of the college and present tangible pieces of the Geneva story. The Genevans, the official choir of Geneva College, under the direction of Dr. David Kenneth Smith, will perform several selections, including a favorite hymn, the Alma Mater and Happy Birthday to Geneva. The event will also be available for alumni and friends of the college to view on Facebook Live at the handle @genevacollege.
