Beaver Falls, PA– For the fourth straight fall season, Geneva has placed more than 50 student athletes on the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll. Geneva had the third highest total student-athletes in the 10-school Presidents' Athletic Conference.

Of the 55 student-athletes, 14 participated in women’s soccer, 11 in football, nine in men’s soccer, six each in men’s cross country and women’s volleyball, five in women’s tennis, and four in women’s cross country.
Thirty-four of the 55 student-athletes have been on the list before and six are on the list for the fourth time – Deanna Briody (Volleyball/Writing/Connectquot. NY), Julie Kline (Tennis/Communication Disorders/Wood County, WV), Elise Mann (Women’s soccer/Communication Disorders/Evangelical Christian Academy, CO), Alayna Merkle (Women’s cross country/Communication Disorders/Chambersburg, POA), John Shipley (Men’s soccer/Biology/Perry Hall, MD), and Amanda Weaver (Women’s soccer/Accounting/Living Wood Academy, POA).
Ten Geneva student/athletes were able to earn honors in both the classroom and on the field of play, having been named to both all-conference teams and the Academic Honor Roll. Named to the academic honor roll and first team in their sports were Briody, Dillon Goodell (Football/Engineering/Tarpon Springs (FL), Elise and Heidi Mann (Women’s Soccer/Mathematics Education/Evangelical Christian Academy, CO), and Merkle. Named to the academic honor roll and the second team in their sports were Brittany Kress (Women’s Tennis/Engineering/Hopewell, PA) and Timothy Martin (Football/Business/Moon). Named to the academic honor roll and honorable mention in their sport were Brett Alberti (Football/Engineering/Blackhawk), Jacob Beschner (Men’s cross country/Engineering/Marriotis Ridge, MD), Josh Guiser (Football/Accounting/Frazier, PA), and Jesse Herman (Men’s soccer/Engineering/Midd-West, PA).
