Women:
Samantha Johnson – Softball
Freshman – Pitcher

Samantha Johnson has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. In the circle, Johnson was a perfect 4-0 this past week helping the Golden Tornadoes to stretch their win streak to eight games including a perfect 6-0 start in the PAC. Johnson allowed just one earned run in 25 innings of work (0.28 ERA). She gave up 15 hits and struck out 13 in the process. Johnson also hit .388 for the week with four runs batted in for the Golden Tornadoes.

Jordan Rupert – Track and Field
Freshman – Throws
Greenville, PA

 

Jordan Rupert has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Rupert continued to be impressive in his freshman campaign as he took second place in the javelin at the “John Homon” Invitational at Mt. Union on Saturday. Against a very competitive field, Rupert’s distance of 162-08 was good enough to claim second place.
