Anna McMullen has been named the female student-athlete of the week. McMullen registered a pair of shut-out victories over Saint Vincent and Westminster last week. In Geneva’s 3-0 whitewash of Saint Vincent, McMullen turned away six shots before a three save effort helped the Golden Tornadoes blank Westminster 2-0. For the season, McMullen lowered her goals against average to 1.28 which includes five shut-outs in her freshman campaign.
Ted Krzywiecki – Soccer
Senior – Forward
HS: South Fayette
Ted Krzywiecki has been named the male student-athlete of the week. Kryzwiecki scored a pair of goals and added an assist as Geneva’s men’s soccer team picked up a pair of PAC victories last week. In a 3-2 victory over Saint Vincent, Krzywiecki scored Geneva’s first goal of the match to tie that game and then found the net on the game winner with less than three minutes remaining in regulation. He then added an assist in Geneva’s 3-1 victory at Westminster on Saturday night. For the season, Krzywiecki has three goals and two assists to help the Golden Tornadoes remain unbeaten in conference play.
Geneva is one of only 118 colleges in the U.S. to be approved for membership in the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), and is a founding member.
