Deanna Briody– Volleyball
Deanna Briody has been selected as the women’s student-athlete of the week. Briody smashed the career assists record of 3,690 set in 2009 earlier this season against John Carroll but has continued to add to it set after set. After defeating Thiel this past week, Briody stands at 3,967 assists with seven regular season matches left to play. The Geneva women’s volleyball team’s record is 9-2 in the PAC and 15-9 overall with hopes of postseason play on the horizon. This week the volleyball team will stay busy hitting the road Tuesday to play Grove City at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday to play Saint Vincent at 11 a.m. with a stop home Thursday to host Washington & Jefferson at 7 p.m.
