Sarah-Noel Meek – Cross Country Freshman Akron, OH HS: Firestone Sarah-Noel Meek has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Turning in Geneva’s top performance on the women’s side at the NCAA Division III Mid-East regionals over the weekend, Meek turned in a 44th place finish with a time of 23:55. Meek helped lead the Geneva College women to a 15th place overall finish out of 49 schools. |

Rocco Colavecchia – Football Junior – Quarterback New Castle, PA HS: Shenango Rocco Colvecchia has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Colavecchia capped an impressive junior season by helping the Golden Tornadoes defeat Westminster 33-14 in the 2012 season finale. Colavecchia scored three times on Saturday giving him a conference leading 20 touchdowns for the season. He scored on a seven-yard touchdown reception and on runs of one and two yards. For the game, he finished with 68 yards rushing on 16 carries, four receptions for 28 yards and was also 3-3 passing for 27 yards. |
